Devotion or consecration are first rooted in a heart that in response to grace loves God and seeks to trust Him and His promises. This is further expressed in exclusive worship rendered to the Lord and with it repentance over our idolatry and the removing of false gods and false gospels from our hearts and lives. Knowing God has redeemed you in Christ and has established you in covenant with him should encourage you to render to him exclusive worship and wholehearted devotion. Meditating on the Gospel of redemption should motivate you toward exclusive and wholehearted devotion.
