We really cannot understand Christmas without seeing how the truth of God as Trinity is revealed. For it is about God the Father sending into the world his Son who takes on human nature for the purpose of accomplishing redemption for sinners and then who along with the Father sends the Spirit into the world to apply to human hearts what Christ accomplished. We see at Christmas the manifestation of the Three-Personed God.
